An interesting tale about Molly Meldrum screwing up the atmosphere on a Sydney Harbour cruise for Elton John. We know it's true because Whispers was there. Not only did many people immediately ditch odd little packes of white powder overbiard as a police boat delivering Molly approached (not us- we lead a clean life) what this atory doesn't mention is that Molly slipped as he was trying to board the Elton cruise and plunged into Sydney's deadly harbour. Why didn't a shark take Molly? Good taste I guess. And yes the party that was in full swing become a tad sober after that as the guests were forced to rely on alcohol only. Andrew Baci Romero-Whitlam & Gough Whitlam in happier times

Born in Argentina, 58 year old Andrew Esteban Romero-Whitlam was regularly seen around Sydney at society shindigs. When 'Baci', as he is called by friends, and his family emigrated to Australia they had a powerful figure in their corner as a sponsor- former Prime Minister Gough Whitlam.

So close was Baci to Gough that he often attended official functions with the ex-PM. He even changed his name in honour of the Whitlam family and was often referred to as Whitlam's 'adopted son' or godson. Now Baci has been jailed for a minimum of 15 months after pleading guilty in a drug supply charge.

Whitlam was busted at his tapas restaurant in Rushcutters Bay, Resto Bar last year in an undercover  police sting. In his heyday Baci owned an upmarket fashion boutique in Double Bay and dressed many of Sydney's society matrons.

In the past few years he has regularly visited Gough Whitlam for lunch at his home in Lulworth House, a luxury nursing home in Rushcutter's Bay. Romero-Whitlam's barrister Phillip Boulten SC told the court on Friday that his client " was depressed  and a chronic user of cocaine and had been for some time".

Paris Hilton isn't happy with Kim Kardishan or the gossiper Perez Hilton. That's if you believe the website

Paris Hilton is HUGE  which gets Ms Hilton's seal of approval with her above tweet earlier tonight.

We think it is disgusting you are using Microsoft’s Paint application to deface Paris Hilton’s photo’s for your posts, mock her, and jump on the Anti-Paris Hilton bandwagon, when you were just butt-kissing a few months prior. 

If it were not for Paris Hilton or your stalkerish ways to get into her inner circle, you would be a TRAGIC waste of space living in your mother’s house."

Some time between the The Color Salon and The Family Guy Paris got busted for cocaine !.

As per usual tSS beat other media sources to the arrest of Home and Away star Todd Lasance on alleged cocaine posession charges.

         Kit and Kaboodle, the uber smart Kings Cross club was also where that other Home and Away star Jodi Gordon had spent the night before she was found in the early hours cowering beside a bed at the Rushcutter's Bay home of an alleged bike club member. The chic apartment is a few doors from the Sydney home of former British chat show host Michael Parkinson. Gordon was in a confused state and told police that earlier in the night she had used cocaine.

               Gordon's 2 year affair with Channel 7 boss and heir of the Stokes billions, Ryan Stokes, ended shortly after the incident but tSS can report the pair have been seeing each other in secret in the past 2 months.

               Another tSS source tells us that there could be more drama for some celebrities and a prominent businessman as investigators sift through information provided by Richard Buttrose, the high profile Eastern Suburbs social figure and nephew of TV identity Ita Buttrose.

.               Buttrose was arrested in February this year after a police sting at the favourite Sydney drinking hole of royals Prince Harry and Princess Anne's daughter  Zara Phillips, the Lord Dudley pub in Woolhaha. Buttrose was released on bail only to be re-arrested after police raided an apartment he owned and found over one million dollars in cash there and a stash of cocaine police claimed was worth $3M. Buttrose pleaded guilty to the supply charges and is believed to have given exstensive information to police about the names found in his mobile phone.

            It's said the tremors of fear that ran through Sydney society over his arrest have put many on edge but despite police claims they had smashed the city's major coke supply source, the Kit and Kaboodle raid shows the easy access to the drug in dozens of nightclubs around the town.

           Ironically, Lasance's soapie character is an anti-drug campaigner and he was just about to travel to Hollywood following the successful of Avatar star and friend Sam Worthington.
